Kyushu family road trip: day three

This is a special place.

Sedona has vortices, Bermuda has a triangle, but Ibusuki has the southern-most railroad station in all of Japan. Trust me, it's a big deal. Trains pass by every hour or so. Thanks to a very enthusiastic railfan who ushered us out of our car, the McNaba family road trip got to the platform 20 minutes before the local made a stop. Adding to the power of this location is the overexposed mountain in the background, Mt. Kaimon, one of Japan's Hundred Great Mountains. The whole family climbed the near 1,000-metre peak earlier in the day. Gambata!
