Shining cranesbill

Geranium lucidum. There is a lot of this growing on the banks of the lane and in the cracks of the walls. I have not come across it before - apparently it will reach 40cms in height. It is enjoying the limey soil.

It is quite easy to identity as it is the only cranesbill with glossy leaves - not downy - snd shiny red stems.

Thanks to my sister the botanist for teaching me this new plant!
