PNG graduation

I attended a lovely graduation in the Philippines today up near the infamous Clark airfield. 20 at risk youth from Egna province in PNG had been placed in a 3 month hospitality course at Site Skill Training to get a cert 3 and then continue into a real job ( the first for many of the group) upon return to PNG. The Grand Chief of Egna province was there with the PNG ambassador to the Philippines as well as some notable who's who of the Brisbane business scene and 1 international TESOL guru. It was a great event and made me reflect critically on the value of what I sell - university degrees and the university experience.
