The secret courtyard

I walk down to Notting Hill today to do some market shopping and get a massage.

As it's the first proper sunny day of spring, Portobello Road is rammed with locals. Any thoughts of taking a break here are instantly dispelled.

Fortunately, like so many popular streets, if you just stray off the main drag for a street of two you can find some hidden gems.

Along All Saint Road is a shop called 'Food and Books' where I had some fabulous Ethiopian coffee and a skim through Henry 1V part One. This is really how libraries should be.
