Muratti Fever...

...has hit the island. Many shop windows are decked out in blue & white and there were programme sellers wandering Victoria Street at midday in full Alderney strip with 'warrior'face paint, in anticipation of the Kick Off at 3pm. All very exciting - for those who understand the off side rule.

This has taken me by surprise.
The Muratti started in 1905 and Alderney's team is called The Nomads. I think they should rename themselves The Optimists as they've only won once - in 1925!

Result: Alderney 1 : Guernsey 4. So the Vase won't be coming home!
