U-turn, or 'Left hand down a bit' ...

... for those who remember the Navy Lark.
This is not a con trail. The plane has cut a path through the cloud as it makes a u-turn over Enfield to head for the River Thames and an approach to land at Heathrow. Considering the number of planes which pass, I can't remember seeing this effect very often.
