Screen gems

Another night at the excellent Hippodrome Festival of Silent Cinema in Bo'ness with EdiSteve. We saw two films today, the 1927 version of Arnold Ridley's The Ghost Train (no Arthur Askey) and 1933's Japanese gangster flick Dragnet Girl. Both had live music, and of the two I enjoyed the latter more, for its more consistent tone and sheer artistry.

Dragnet Girl and accompanying musicians are being toured across Scotland, so keep an eye out.
