On a dark winters night

I went over to a friend's place tonight - Dave walked me what with it being, you know, dark and whatnot. I'm pleased he did because I got a bit of a shock rounding a corner and coming across a car park filled with iron monsters! This one was lifting one of the cars. I have no idea where they came from, or what they were for. Anyone?...
