Romantic Ruins

Spent the morning cooking and pottering before we  headed off down the A68 to Dryburgh Abbey.  Had a lovely wander round the ruined abbey, admiring the magnificent trees.  The snowdrops were over, but the daffodils were starting to come out.

We then headed off to the William Wallace Statue.  Many years ago, while walking the St Cuthbert’s Way, we took a detour to see the statue.  I walked right past it, without even noticing it (it was above me).  This has been a standing joke ever since!
