how'd that happen?

that we have become so obsessed with ourselves - so inner-focused? - i haven't - i still struggle having a camera in front of my face - i force myself to be calm - while it is pointing at me - not turn into some kind of moron - but others seem to adore the attention - why is that, i wonder - this need people have - even hard hitting journalists are focusing stories on the issue - just the other day - katie couric had an entire segment devoted to selfies - how to take them - the best angle to use - the kind of lighting (being outside is best) - i was fascinated - she had her whole audience pull out their smart phones - to practice taking selfies - the web is full of tips and highlights as well - everybody wanting to get in their own 2 cents on the subject - we are interesting humans
