Beech House

This morning I took my mother for a walk along the Llangollen Canal in Ellesmere. There are lots of seats so ideal for sitting and enjoying the sun.
This is the junction of the main canal and the short arm to Ellesmere Wharf.

The building is Beech House which was designed by Thomas Telford and was his canal office and maintenance yard. It has been working for over 200 years and still has all the workshops etc. and occasionally has open days to look around it.
