Everyone, meet Trixie

A photo of Trixie, as promised yesterday.

We got Trixie from the pound about 6 years ago. She had been abandoned at Morrisons and was skinny as a rake. She was a nervous wreck, seriously! She soon settled in though. We'd had her a couple of months when I went into the kitchen to find Trixie lying in her bed...with a puppy! We'd had no idea she was pregnant, neither had the vet or the volunteers at the pound, because she was so skinny. Turns out they'd been hiding behind her ribs :S. Anyway she had four puppies in all and miscarried 3. Sadly one of the four surviving puppies dies during the first night. So after a month or so raising the pups, we sold the two boys and kept the only girl. And that's how we got Tiggy! (featured in yesterdays blip) As you can see Trixie is a tan colour, and the four puppies were mostly black and white. Strange.
