It started badly ...

I had to work in London today. Got up early and drove the ten miles to the station, parked the car, joined a queue to buy a ticket and ... discovered that I had no cash and no wallet. Drove all the way home, collected wallet, repeated process but missed the next train and had to wait for half an hour for another which was then delayed on its journey. I eventually turned up at work three hours later than planned....

Came home via the new station at Blackfriars which is on the bridge over the Thames and has glass walls giving excellent views east and west along the Thames.
