Ig Nobels

Went to a talk this evening by the founder of the Ig Nobel prizes, and a couple of laureates plus a QI elf. Very entertaining, it's really a celebration of research, and also great to see people not taking themselves too seriously: hardly anyone ever declines an award, and the prizes are presented by Nobel winners.
