Phantom Pipes

I know what you may be thinking:

"Red on Mississippi ground, it must be deer blood."

It is not deer blood; however, me and two other members in our class spilled spiritual blood as we used a "plastic toothpick" to locate the exact positions of our courtyard's underground pipes. The act of sticking it into our site's clay soils created a suction effect that made it very difficult to retrieve said device. Nevertheless, we were able to locate these general positions in order to mark them with red spray paint and connect the dots.

We completed this task to graphically inform the locations of these pipes to the people performing the excavation.
