One Week Old

Baby is one week old and exploring her world with all the fun and fiestiness of a little filly. She and momma, Janey, remembered us from our previous visit and both came to us right away when we entered their stall. What a miracle it is, that a creature can be folded up inside another creature's body, then a week later be discovering play and salt licks and kicking up her heels (which she was doing last Friday already) and expressing such joy to be alive. It's just amazing that she has, within her, all the information needed to connect with this world that she hadn't previously known at all. So wonderfully made.
