Sad tree!

It's had it's chance! For some reason last year this tree died off, all the leaves shrivelled brown well before autumn - we decided to wait and see what happened this year, well we've waited and as you can see, not a bud or any new growth in sight.

No idea what happened, it is just six years old and until last July was growing and filling out year on year.

Any ideas?
