#19 Desuetude

DDW March Challenge: Vocabulary

Desuetude: disuse, discontinuance

This is my late Dad's old mower we brought with us when we moved here 10 years ago. We have since bought motor mowers and electric mowers (can't recall how many) and this push-mower has been reduced to leaning against a fence gathering leaves and rust. It was very good in its day and gave a very good cut but our lawns are a bit big for it (us to mow) now. It is therefore in disuse, or "desuetude".
