Victory...in the Rugby anyway

Nice early 6:30 start for our last floorball match of the season (any my last ever one for Warwick). We were up against Manchester who we played on Mini-Tour and MK Phantoms, both of whom were chasing a playoff spot so we knew we were in for some tough games. We only lost 3-2 to Manchester which was bloody impressive as they were in the First Division last year and they beat us by a lot more on tour. It was by far our best performance of the season and I just wish we were able to get a point from it. The match against MK was 8-3 but the scoreline did not do us justice. Some great finishing from them and Tommo, a former Warwick student who recently got selected for the GB squad was the only difference between the two teams. What made it even more impressive was that we managed this without our captain, Jason, who was sadly too ill to play that day. It's been a tough year for us but I am so proud of the team and how far we've come along this year. Wish those guys who are still staying all the best for next year.

We got back just in time for the 2nd half of the rugby which was being shown live on the Piazza. England managed to get some sweet revenge for last year and beat Wales 29-18. Even better that there were plenty of Welsh fans, including Kat, who we watched the match with. Long and tiring day but a good way to end the season. Just wish I had my camera so I didn't have to take this on my phone.
