Book Club

Book Club, like Fight Club, only less bruising...unless everyone hates the book you suggested, then the ego takes a hit.

For two years, eleven young ladies of the village have been meeting once a month for intellectual discussions of a specific book. We take it in turns to suggest three, from which there is a democratic vote to narrow the choice to one.

Personal favourites so far: The Help by Kathryn Stockett, Flight Behaviour by Barbara Kingsolver, Londoners: The Days and Nights of London as Told by Those Who Love It, Hate It, Live It, Long for It, Have Left It and Everything In between by Craig Taylor and 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
