Place Allain Leprest 1954-2011

Backblip.

Husband and our Mayoress launching the 'one-off' place Allain Leprest (please, do meet Allain here for a better understanding of this blip).
The local council wasn't up for a definitive naming but agreed to the fact that Allain'd paid many many visits to the village through his friends (us), bringing with him his boisterous fame and contagious creativity and therefore they accepted the official inauguration of this commemorative plaque.

The naming of the village square after Allain, and the plaque, were just a one-day thing, but immortalised by the media!

Thank you Madam Mayor, Allain would've appreciated your tolerance and your sense of humour (you'll have our votes next Sunday*, ooops, it just slipped out, you'd've had them anyway).

*Municipal elections in France are next Sunday, an important issue these days.
