Powerless

Demolition work underway at Cockenzie power station, East Lothian. Since opening in 1967 the two chimneys have dominated the skyline and have been visible for many miles around. Environmental regulations forced the closure of the power station in 2013 but there are plans to replace it with a combined cycle generating station.
