Blackbird serenades its mate…

… as we look between the buildings of the housing estate at the back of our own house.

Taken on an impromptu short walk around the aforesaid estate, just to see of there were anything to photograph. Several things — a large patch of small, pale blue flowers; a view over the black 'stripes' of a garden fence contrasting with the sun on the hillside beyond, for instance. But the noise of the Blackbird caught my attention, with his shy mate (I presume, though the lighting made her seem as dark as himself).
