99.99% done

All that's left is a couple interpretive signs and it's done. Finished the painting this afternoon, did some touch-ups and last minute cleaning of grease pencil marks, then went home. There should be a dedication sometime this summer. Whew!

To quote George Baggley..."How can we have a satisfying life without beauty?" He believed in the power of individuals, groups, and communities to affect change and contribute to the maintenance and conservation of their environment, that "citizens of a community have a stake in what goes on, as well as to contribute importantly in maintaining a way of life they have found satisfactory".

Today, as I was finishing up, an older man came up, walking his dog. He told me that he knew George Baggley, but he really hadn't known him because George didn't brag about his accomplishments. He did what he thought was needed. It was his job. It was his passion. The results speak for themselves.

Thanks, George.
