Happy Australia Day

Newcastle always throws a Maritime festival on Australia Day. As was the case last year, the Catalina from Albion Park does a fly past and is very well received. There was a Catalina base on Lake Macquarie at Rathmines during the Second World War. They are keep to restore a Catalina and keep it at Rathmines. There were water ski races, aerial acrobatics and all manner of other amusements.
