Russells

What a bonus, the forecast rain didn’t arrive. Instead we had a lovely sunny but cold afternoon, going to a couple of our favourite garden centres with our son his lovely partner. Cream teas half price today. We bought a new garden seat/arbour which I’m delighted with. There is already a patio at the bottom of the garden, just begging for a nice summer house or gazebo. My other half doesn’t agree, and I don’t like to insist since he would have all the maintenance. So we compromised on a very nice arbour. Another place to take our tea.

This is not a row of beach huts as you might think, but the front of Russells Garden Centre at Birdham. It houses a great choice of plants (particularly seaside plants, hence the frontage) but also a restaurant, deli, a furniture and gift shop which is always worth looking round. Chucks roam the plant centre, strange varieties with feathery feet and others. A lovely family run business.
