Caffeine o'clock

Catch-up Saturday. Some writing to be done, some planning to be organised, some things to be sorted in the house. I also set aside some time to catch up with a friend I have not had much chance to see recently. So we got together for a pot of Earl Grey tea (her), a cafetiere of Brazilian rich blend coffee (tea-hater me), and a long chin-wag for both of us.

We met in the little tea/coffee/gift shop opposite the village pond. It is a place of wondrously kaleidoscope colour, not least the china collection above the tea jars on the old dresser near the little serving kitchen. I drove home feeling both relaxed and energised. Isn't that exactly the way a well-spent Saturday should make you feel?
