While walking along the canal this morning. We passed two barges, and it was the ladies on both, that were doing all the hard work.

I've been watching Great Canal Journeys on TV, staring Timothy West and his wife Prunella Scales, travelling the Rochdale Canal, and noticed it was always Prunella doing all the hard work too.

Can anyone tell me why this is?
