Quite a chilled day pootling around some shops in the sunshine and having a (very) late brunch chatting to C about her move up here.
Home and more hour s of promotions paperwork then a lovely evening at a fundraising dinner for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra as part of their 40th birthday celebrations. Held at the refurbished Assembly Rooms which were very splendid and the reflections of the huge candelabras continued on and on into the distance.
Jim Naughtie on good form as the compere and some lovely musical interludes, especially the typewriter piece that's used as a theme tune to the News Quiz.
Good company and food....glad I'm almost fully better and able to enjoy it ...
