Hoppy.

For the last couple of weeks I have been trying to get a photo of this particular Butcher Bird. It is one of three who frequent my back garden birdie restaurant and has done so for some time now, but look at his little foot ~ can you see how he holds it?

I've also noticed something else amiss with this little guy lately, he has a damaged wing as well, but luckily for him, he can fly, even if he is a tad wobbly.

When this bird visits I always make sure that he gets more than his fair share of food. I think he may need help for a while and I'm hoping that his injuries heal completely. It can be pretty hazardous out there in bird land, even for the able-footed and straight-flying species.
