Pulling Out All The Stops

This is from yesterday, but I wanted to share it.
An absolutely wonderful concert at the RFH, reminding me how much I love Vaughn Williams, as well as Thomas Tallis. But the icing on the cake was the World Premiere of Neil Hannon's (The Divine Comedy) piece "To Our Fathers In Distress", an elegy to his own Father's encroaching Alzheimers.

Coming after the not-on-the-programme rendition by Hannon (singing and on the piano) of "Praise My Soul, The King of Heaven".

There was not a dry eye in the house. Apologies for the wadge of explanation. It was very moving.
