"There is always Low Fell...."

I notice that Trev has given you a lovey shot of Chloe on Low Fellso I thought that I would give you a little more of it, This shot shows you Crummock Water with Mellbreak on the right and Rannerdale Crags on the left. Haystacks etc at the very back of the shot.
Low Fell gets its name not because it is Low, although it is fairly, but from Loweswater. The quotation is from the great AW of course. Wainwright points out in several parts of his series, that some of the smaller fells punch above their weight (he doesn't put it like that). He has a rather touching way of expressing that when it comes to Low Fell:
"When the doctor forbids climbing above 1500 feet, the future of his patient need not be entirely bleak. There is always Low Fell...." AW then goes on to describe its pleasures.
This is the view from the top; a great little fell!
