Permanently affordable homes

The building in the background is St Clements Hospital in the Mile End Road. It was built as a Victorian workhouse, then became a hospital, now derelict. Behind this wall as I took the photo, Boris Johnson, London's major, was attending the ground breaking ceremony for a development that will provide permanently affordable homes for the local community through a community land trust. I loved the way this lady's veil billowed in the breeze.
