There we were, digging this hole...

It was bright but cold today and mostly we were in attack mode in the front garden. Mr. C heroically finished off digging out the roots of the ornamental quince (Chaenomeles speciosa). In the autumn it had taken me 3 very scratchy and tiring hours to get it down to ground level and it was about the same again for this root removal. We are now knackered!
