Hammersmith Bridge

I love finding places and things in London that I didn't know existed. Hammersmith Bridge is now added to that list.

On a brisk spring eve, with heavy clouds and their silver linings hanging in the sky, I followed Google Maps' directions to the theatre where George's choir performance was taking place.

The route took me across this bridge, which was majestic in every sense. The footpaths along each side have built in benches so one can sit and watch the Thames. It felt so old, so beloved, and so unmistakably London.
