Passing through the Glen

We happened to pass through Glen Shee today. The sun was shining and the sky was clear, though a few miles back we had passed through a snow flurry which would nearly have caused me to turn around if it had shown signs of getting any worse. However despite the snow flurry there were also signs the sky was going to clear, which turned out to be the case.

At the Glen Shee Ski Centre there were hundreds of cars parked and lots of people on the slopes. Despite the sun it was thoroughly freezing, and winter clothing was most definitely needed. With the sunshine and the snow there was quite an Alpine appearance to the scenery.

Later we eventually arrive at Pitlochry, well below and south of the snow line. I was most ready for a late lunch before returning to Aberdeen.
