perspective

Realized this morning while rowing that it has been 20 years since I picked up two oars in a shell - well I started with a stable boat called a wherry. Anyway, the early morning pleasures this sport has brought me are - well that - pleasure - and endurance etc too. So here is the stern of my boat and some of the water she has already touched!

And here is to 20 years more - the next 20 will be an endurance contest but there are plenty who keep on into their 80's - we have had more than one heart attack while rowing which in my book is a perfect way to exit this world!
