Just look at what someone has dumped

Out walking around Bearsted this morning we came across this pile of rubble dumped next to a clump of daffodils alongside the footpath. Seems to me that someone has demolished a bit of a patio and then some other kind person has seen fit to enhance the pile with a beer bottle. I suppose we have to be thankful that whoever it was didn't dump it on top of the daffs. It was that juxtaposition that attracted me to this blip.

I wish I could (a) get inside the mentality of people who think it is OK to do this sort of stuff or (b) see them do it. Then perhaps they would think twice about doing it again. Located adjacent to this pile was a neatly tied up plastic bag containing dog excrement. We see more and more of these little packages alongside footpaths and dangling from trees.

OK, so this is a piece of unused land but the Council has plans to turn it into a public open space but now they have to clear this little lot away first and other piles of rubbish that people living in the houses adjacent to the footpath have tossed over their garden fences.

The afternoon was a more pleasant experience, spent at the allotment planting out shallots, red onions, broad beans, summer cabbages, calabrese and caulifower.
