Ben Tirran

So on Friday morning four folk from the mountain club headed for Glen Doll and the Carn Derg Mountain Club hut. Colin declared that we were going to spend the weekend doing 'manly things' and that despite being female I was to join in. Fair enough.

Friday AM was spent driving up and dumping our stuff. Friday PM was spent walking up Ben Tirran, a nice little Corbett with a clearly defined path to the ridge and some nice views. Though we didn't get to see many of them. The top was mushy with a covering of crisp snow, but the sheltered slope off was hard frozen and I got an excellent bum slide sitting on my map case down an icy slope into frosted ling.

The evening was spent in front of a wood burning stove with a bottle of wine. Nice.
