Norwood

A beautiful sunny Sunday in Co Tipperary,oh doesn't feel good that heat and sunshine? :0)
Eggy breakfast, a yummy coffee and then a short cycle and walk around Cloughjordan Woods with Hubs started the day fantastically.
I left him to study and went to Norwood equestrian centre to have my first go at stewarding in a cross country event (I was invited to)! Great fun, then Susan and I got stuck in the middle of a very very very boggy field in her 4x4 - going to take over from the judge at the farthest corner of the course! We had to abandon it and get a pull out afterwards, but we got lots of offers of help from several rather nice horsey men, landowners, chairmen of the hunt etc. All much more kind, down to earth and helpful than one might imagine! I did want to introduce my self as Cressida Sidebottom- Phlange, but they were too nice and we still needed pulling out to be that naughty.
This shot is of the team hunter trials. Teams of 3 x riders compete together round a grueling course of jumps and ditches, uphill and down dale, all against the clock (and the mud). They looked very varied in their kit and horses and experience, which made it much more fun to watch and judge.
Daisy the pony needs to get a lot fitter and I need to get braver to contemplate some of those obstacles!
Birthday dinner at Oonaghs - 7 squared!
