Nothing happens here...

Talking out of my…..

I have a friend over in the lakes who becomes quite animated when I tell her about the fell ponies I've seen. She is a fell pony expert. I am not. I get it wrong most of the time. Seems 'fell ponies' have been on the fells forever. The Romans stole them from the Brigantes, that sort of 'long time'. Fell Pony experts are very easily offended by fools like me.

I judge my fell side animals thus… If it stands 6 feet, has 4 legs and brown fur and makes whinnying noises it's horse, anything smaller is, by default, a pony. Or maybe a donkey. Or possibly an ass. If it has horns it's a cow, a bull or maybe a deer.

What's the big deal anyway? They all end up in pies eventually. End of.
