Another fine day

Out with Serin at Rutland Water this morning, trying out one of my birthday presents - a new tripod with pistol-grip ball head. Very nice!

Ros gave me another present when we got back - a signed and framed large-format photograph by Sandra Bartocha, one of my favourite photographers. I was blown away! So much so that I had an uncharacteristic burst of DIY and put it up on the wall straight away. It looks stunning!

Also: Having a 'birthday tea' later, which will give me another chance to blow out a candle, eat lovely food and drink fine wine. My daughter, her fiancé and their friend are coming over to help :)
