Bengal Tigress

Auguste-Nicolas Cain's "Bengal Tigress" was the first statue installed in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow, back in 1867.

It is a rather striking statue and certainly not one you would associate with Glasgow. Another interesting fact is that Cain used the same design for statues in Central Park, New York, and Les Jardins Tuileries in Paris, which is believed to be the original.
