Ramsgate harbour

A trip down memory lane today. Back to ramsgate where a spent a great year working at Pfizer in sandwich.

We were originally going to go to Whistable but on route decided to divert. Weather was great, cool in the breeze but almost a San Diego sky and very warm in out of the wind. We parked where I lived up on the east cliffs in a penthouse apartment overlooking the channel. Me and 3 others got it for a steal as the owner (some posh old women) was renting it out to go up and look after her new grandchild up in London.

We walked along the beach to Broadstairs as the tide was out. It was really strange to see dogs off leash everywhere. Not like that in San Diego. Babe would of loved it.

Had a nice lunch at the pavilion in Broadstairs and then walked back along the cliff tops and down to ramsgate harbour (blipped).

Afterwards we drove down towards sandwich to take a look at the old Pfizer site (now called discovery park and turned into like one of my accounts in San Diego). Very strange to see it so empty. A lot of buildings knocked down.

Came home and commenced a huge clear out of my old room. Old photos from lads holidays in the med, uni photos, results, degree certificates and ceremonies. Birthday cards, sticker albums, bank statements the list goes on. Feels like the end of an era and that this is not "home" anymore. A very strange feeling.....
