Frosty Sage

Woke up this morning to quite a sharp frost - so nipped out in the garden to grab a few shots - but it was not quite light enough to do handheld and my shots all showed camera movement.

So I waited a bit and then remembered my little mini tripod (about 15cm high) and went to try it out. I bought it years ago on a cruise stopover in Gibraltar - it was only a few pounds but I have never really used it!

Any way it supports my little panny quite nicely - so on with the macro switch and, hey presto, a frosted leaf showing the ice crystals quite nicely.

I suspect there may be a few more frosty shots this week!
