Honesty unwrapped

Back in September I found some Honesty flowers gone to seed in Mum's garden. After taking some shots in situ for a daily blip, I harvested some of the stems with the intent of trying to grow them in my own garden. They have been sitting on my kitchen windowsill ever since!

Tonight I had an urge for some ultra macro works, so opened up one of the papery pods, added the full set of extension tubes to my macro lens, and had a play using a torch an reflector for lighting.

The marbled background is one side of the pod, and if you look large there is some rather interesting detail on the seeds themselves.
