The Storm

Lightning crackled through the dark sky, thunder roared and rattled the house, driving rain lashed at my face, while the wind shook the branches of the beech and lancewood trees turning them into mops. From blue sky to dark thunderous sky, the temperature plummeted from 18C to 8C in just a few seconds, lights flickered as the power surged and puddles engulfed the driveway, we were left looking out the windows and doors, gaping at the storm which seem to appear from nowhere and had caught us unawares.

We now have the tail end of this passing storm, steady rain with light gusts of wind, how quickly a day can change.
