Bare..

rooted tree..

This winter we have had so much rain that the ground under this tree has totally disappeared leaving its roots mostly exposed. I see someone has even sawn through one root a long time ago and still it lives but for how long it will remain upright I can't imagine.

Just ten days ago I took a photo of the beautiful cherry tree near the Church.. imagine my horror when I drove past today to see that there was no tree there .. just a low stump in the middle of the green!!! I was horrified and found a local resident who told me it had blown down!! She also requested a copy of my photo to put into the newsletter.. so sad to have lost it!
