The Folly

Opened the shutters this morning and the sunlight flooded into the bedroom - and we are still in Fife! A cold crisp morning but H,C and I left Mike reading in the garden and headed off a trek around the local estate.

There were lambs gambolling and dancing in the sunshine, primroses and celandine flowering underfoot and buzzards mewing and circling overhead. A glorious day. This folly is built up on top of a huge crag and at one time the laird actually employed a hermit to live in it! Don't know how long he lasted . . . !

After a long leisurely lunch and an afternoon chatting by the fire we set off to Edinburgh, the next step on the journey!
