jill and matt's wedding day

it was a truly wonderful day. dad couldn't make it, he wasn't well enough. we knew from earlier in the week that it was looking unlikely. it cast a bit of a shaddow on the day, and made the speeches all the more poignant and emotional (my brother gave jill away and read out dad's speech, which he had managed to write, despite being so weak), but at the same time didn't really spoil the day itself, as it was jill and matt's day.

everything was perfect, the setting, the ceremony - very intimate and so personal, the speeches, the food, the drinks, the hokey cokey for the kids, the fireworks and then the party back at their house - such a laugh, especially having an inpromptu ceilidh in the front room, and frightening all the english half to death with my ferocious strip the willow.

jill was stunning, and i was very proud to stand by her side as her bridesmaid. and very happy to now properly call matt my brother-in-law, even though he has felt like it for a long time.

(impossible to choose just one pic so i've thrown just about all of them in!)
